In 2026 Castro Community On Patrol will mark 20 years of service to the neighborhood and the LGBTQ+ community of San Francisco!

20 years of service, of patrolling, of providing safety information and guidance, of delivering safety training, and supporting individuals when they really needed it. It is a long and proud legacy for a fully unpaid volunteer run nonprofit.

We ALWAYS need more funding in order to help us conduct more outreach.

We ALWAYS need more volunteers to help us deploy more safety patrols on weekends.

We ALWAYS need more support from the community. Just a quick "Hi" when you see us on patrol, or referring anyone in your orbit who may want to donate or volunteer would be incredibly helpful.

We will try to organize something special next year to mark our 20th Anniversary. Why not join us as a volunteer now, and help us celebrate next year.

As you plan your end-of-year donations, please consider Castro Patrol. We are struggling to keep the essential safety services available through our volunteers despite losing $82,000 in City grants with the collapse of the fiscal sponsor of the first 18 years of our work. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. If you need a tax receipt contact [email protected] after making your donation
