We are excited to share with you our digital version of the 2025 Annual Report. It is a snapshot of where we have been this past year.

San Francisco Village continues to be a vibrant city-wide community where programs and activities ensure that our members are engaged, have a sense of belonging, and have access to the services they need to live independently in the homes they love.

Under the leadership of Interim Executive Director, Paul Castro, the Board of Directors, and our dedicated staff, we continue to improve our programs and services to our members. Our search for a new permanent ED is moving forward with clear goals in mind.

We cannot thank you enough for your belief in San Francisco Village and for your continuing support.

Solidarity Starts at Home: A Training for People Who Employ Immigrant Caregivers or House Cleaners ✊

Immigrant domestic workers and neighbors are facing escalating threats: aggressive ICE enforcement and a climate of fear that makes it harder for people to safely do their jobs and live their lives.

If you employ an immigrant domestic worker, you have real power to help create safety and stability, starting in your home

Join us for a training on 6 concrete steps to make your home a Sanctuary Home:
• Be a fair employer
• Know immigrant rights
• Don't open the door to ICE
• Assess the support you can offer
• Start the conversation
• Take action in your community

You'll leave understanding your responsibilities as a domestic employer, how to build trust through solidarity (not charity), and with a concrete action plan for your home and community.

When: Tuesday, July 14 | 11am-12:15pm
Where: Virtual
RSVP: tinyurl.com/CaregiverSolidarity or via link in bio. 🔗

Registration closes July 13, 2026 — sign up today!

🎨👩‍🎨🖌✨📸 WWYT (What were you thinking?) is a relatively new program within the Artists Circle activities. Members visit individual homes - this time Yvonne's - and the artist discusses their process of doing art and shows examples of their work. It is a really popular activity and very uplifting for the artist and the guests! All members are welcome to join next time!

Girt and Glitter event! Friends of the LGBTQ community got together for a block-by-block exploration of the changes in Mid-Market Street over the years - theaters and businesses that have come and gone, plus a dozen new glistening high-rises that have popped up. ✨📸🚶

98 years of memories and a fresh cup of coffee. ☕️

During a recent Friendly Visit, our volunteer Rachel and SFV member Beatrice spent the afternoon diving into photo books of San Francisco through the decades. As a long-time resident, Beatrice loved seeing the city evolve through the pages—each photo jogging a special memory from her many years here.

Thank you, Rachel, for sharing this beautiful moment (and these stories) with us! 🌉📸

April Showers Bring... Katherine Delmar Burke School's Volunteers! 🌿☀️
It’s been a busy, beautiful April! We were thrilled to welcome a fantastic team of volunteers from Burke’s School for a Day of Service dedicated to all things green.

Four members from across the city—from the Castro and Inner Richmond to Glen Park and Bernal Heights—received a helping hand with weeding, bush trimming, and pruning. The SF sunshine even decided to make an appearance, making the hard work even more rewarding!

A tidy garden isn't just about curb appeal; it’s about safety and accessibility. By helping with these chores, the Burke’s School team is directly helping our members succeed at aging in their own homes. Thank you again Burke's School! Come back again soon! :)

We are so excited to announce our newest sponsor, Seniors At Home ! Their mission is all about helping our local elders stay right where they belong—in the comfort and safety of their own homes.

Supporting our community is at the heart of what we do, and we couldn’t be prouder to partner with a team that provides care and independence for older San Franciscans.

This sponsorship furthers our mission of helping older adults age in the community through intergenerational relationships and mutual support.
