Previous generations were all trained to believe that their worth was measured in productivity. And Life was often uncertain back then. The great depression, the layoffs of all the middle managers in the middle 70s, the removal of pensions as an enticement to work hard because your company will care for you later in the 90s.
And as always, there is also need to have a roof over your head and food on your table.
But allowing yourself to be solely judged upon your productivity?
First and for-most, that lets an outside source choose your worth for you.
Find balance in everything.
Including work and security vs. lifes' other joys.
Including kindness vs. stress.
Meditation vs. busy.
Life is a journey. And a crash university level degree in life lessons.
What does making the best of it look like to you?
