We are saddened by the passing of two members of the ALHS Alumni Association, Judy and Gary Simmons. Both were important parts in building the early stages of The Association. Judy was on Board Support and helped with archiving many of the Alumni Association items. Gary was a Board Member and responsible for production of our newsletter, The Lincoln Log.

They met each other as a part of the Alumni Association and eventually married in 2002.

West Portal Elementary School is celebrating their 100th year on April 18th.

On Saturday, April 18 from 1-3pm West Portal Elementary school welcomes back alumni to celebrate the school’s centennial. There will be snacks, refreshments, activities and a lot of new memories made.

To celebrate the 10th year of our Car Show on Saturday, September 26, 2026 we are offering a limited number of guided tours of the school. Tours are $10 with proceeds benefiting the ALHS Alumni Association and ALHS. Signups are online only.

The Alumni Association at Abraham Lincoln High School is offering guided tours as a part of our 10th Annual Car Show. Proceeds from the tours will be split amongst the Alumni Association and the Associated Student Body (ASB). Each tour time is limited to a specific number of people. The current time...

---Award winning journalist Mark Litke (Spring 1965)
---Professional Football player John Sullivan (1980)

And our Distinguished Faculty Award to:

---Shawn Aluk, music and show choir teacher, ASB advisor.

All four will be honored at our Wall of Fame Dinner on Friday April 10th at Fior d'Italia Restaurant in San Francisco.

Dinner is $100/pp and includes salad, pasta, choice of entree and dessert. A table of 10 is $900.

Congratulations to new SF District 4 Supervisor and Class of 2005 Mustang, Alan Wong. District 4 covers San Francisco’s Sunset District including Lincoln High School.

Mayor Daniel Lurie announced Sunday he has selected another District 4 supervisor following the resignation of former Supervisor Beya Alcaraz earlier this month.
