Coronavirus testing is currently available for any person living in San Francisco who has 1 symptom, or has been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 person. Any essential or frontline worker can also get tested, regardless of symptoms or exposure.

You do not need medical insurance to get tested. You do not need a doctor's note to schedule a test. Photo ID is not needed. You may be asked to show photo ID, but you can say no.

The SFDPH has opened up new locations and pop-up sites around the City. Check to see if a new testing site has popped up near you.

Anyone living or working in San Francisco can get tested for coronavirus at various locations in the City.
