We had a wonderful time Thursday evening getting together at Sapore restaurant in Burlingame for an intimate fundraising dinner for the ongoing maintainance of the Mt. Davidson Cross. It is with profound sadness thst we announce the passing of Goruon Hayrapetian, the last remaining member of the original Mount Davidson Cross board.
The Family is asking in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to Mt. Davidson Cross, a cause he was very passionate about.
Donations can be made to Mt. Davidson Cross and mailed to Judy Jingirian Treasurer
1752 Sequoia Ave, Burlingame CA 94010. Our immense gratitude to the original board and everyone who worked so passionately to help secure the cross on the highest peak in San Francisco for future generations.

Don't forget Thursday the 28th. There's still time to send in your reservation for dinner at Sapore Italian restaurant in Burlingame.
Salad, main course, wine and dessert all for $60 and $30 goes towards the maintenance of the cross. Good food, good community gathering for a good cause.

Ceremonies yesterday atop Mt. Davidson Landmark Park and Cross. Every year, the Genocide Commemorative Committee lights the cross on the eve of April 24th and remembers the 1.5 million martyred Armenians with a beautiful and solemn program by the cross. This year they had dance and music performances, keynote speakers and comments by elected officials District 7 supervisor , Myrna Melgar San Francisco board of supervisors president Rafael Mandelman and Kim Bardakian Demirjian representing Oakland MayorBarbara Lee.

Tonight, to commemorate the Armenian Genocide the San Francisco City Hall and Airport were lit up in the colors of the Armenian flag, the Mt. Davidson Cross was illuminated and two very moving films were shown at the Vogue Theater on Sacramento Street. Don't forget Sunday 2:00 p.m. at the cross. .Davidson
