¡Felicitaciones a la Primaria Dolores Huerta por el reconocimiento en las celebraciones de la herencia Latinx de la Junta de Supervisores de hoy! El tema de este año es “Corazón de la Comunidad” (Heart of the Community)

Congratulations to Dolores Huerta Elementary for recognition at todays Board of Supervisors Latinx celebrations! This year’s theme is “Corazon de la Comunidad” (Heart of the Community)

This Latinx Heritage Month it was my honor to recognize Dolores Huerta Elementary School.

It's a remarkable gem in District 8. Classes are multilingual; their extracurriculars include capoeira and mariachi band, thanks to a close working relationship with Mission YMCA, and their educators are hardworking and clearly love their students.

Directora Cristina Urbano and teachers Pablo Portillo and Evelyn Hernandez joined us today. I thanked them for carrying the legacy of the school's namesake Dolores Huerta.

¡Ven a ver el campus de nuestra escuela y conoce a nuestra increíble comunidad en nuestro carnaval anual lleno de juegos, comida y diversión! Tendremos un espectáculo de talentos, una actuación musical, una subasta de arte estudiantil, tacos, una venta de pasteles, una caminata de pasteles, juegos de carnaval, relevos, una carrera de obstáculos, proyectos de arte, pintura de caras, tiza para el cabello y una cabina de fotos. Boletos vendidos para juegos y comida (cada boleto = $1 o menos). ¡Entrada gratuita y abierta a todo el mundo! Evento beneficia a la PTA.

When: Saturday, May 14, 11am-3pm
Where: 65 Chenery Street @ Randall

Come see our school campus and meet our amazing community at our annual carnival full of games, food, and fun! We’ll have a talent show, musical performance, student art auction, tacos, bake sale, cake walk, carnival games, relays, obstacle course, art projects, face painting, hair chalk, and a photo booth. Tickets sold for games and food (each ticket = $1 or less). Free admission and open to everyone! Event benefits the PTA.

¡Este es el ÚLTIMO DÍA para enviar sus ofertas para la subasta de primavera en línea de DH! ¡Termina ESTA NOCHE a las 8pm! Esta es su oportunidad de comprar experiencias, alimentos u otros artículos divertidos mientras recauda dinero para todo el apoyo que brinda la PTA a nuestra escuela.
