RE-volv RE-volv empowers people to bring clean energy to their communities. So we created a new way for people to take action. It's a pretty simple idea.

We believe that everyone should have the ability to support and spread clean energy within their communities. Through an innovative solar financing model, RE-volv and our Solar Ambassadors help nonprofits all over the country go solar and immediately save on their electricity costs. As these nonprofits pay us back, we reinvest the money into more solar projects in communities across the country. T

his creates a revolving fund for solar energy that continually perpetuates itself, building more and more solar. It's a pay-it-forward model for solar energy. We call it the Solar Seed Fund.

Come learn about solar for nonprofits at a virtual discussion during the first-ever Cincinnati Climate Week ☀️

On Monday, June 8th, join City Of Cincinnati Government, Solar United Neighbors, RE-volv & Faith Communities Go Green to explore how nonprofits in your local neighborhood can go solar with zero-money down, saving on energy bills from day one.

When a nonprofit saves on electricity, those funds go right back into supporting the community. 💪

RE-volv has seen this model in action, helping four Ohio nonprofits—from farms to community service centers—go solar and save: East End Community Services, Mission of Mary Cooperative, Oak Tree Corner, and Garden Valley Neighborhood House. (Take a look at some of their solar arrays below!)

A home address is one of the most powerful tools for well-being. It's what Housing Unlimited, Inc. builds on every day to support community integration and independence for adults in mental health recovery across Maryland.

RE-volv, GreenBrilliance - Powering a Solar Future, and Montgomery County Green Bank are proud to support that mission, partnering with them to solarize 40+ of their 96 affordable scattered-site homes.

By going solar, $500K in savings over time will stay in the community and be reinvested in staff capacity and new homes for adults still on their waitlist.

Last night, we debuted this video at Housing Unlimited's annual Welcome Home event, a powerful reminder of exactly why this work matters.

🏘️ Michigan’s community anchors, houses of worship, schools, and nonprofits, provide vital stability to every neighborhood. But with energy bills 18% higher than the national average, those missions are under pressure.

RE- volv is proud to be part of the Michigan Elective Pay Accelerator, launched alongside Justice Climate Fund, the Michigan CDFI Coalition and Detroit CDFI Coalition.

The accelerator program provides technical project assistance, $0-down financing designed to save nonprofits money from day one, and guidance on securing 30%+ additional savings on the clean energy project through federal tax credits.

This program was made possible thanks to a grant from the Office of Climate and Energy (OCE) in the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

☀️ Stop managing rising energy costs and start reinvesting in your mission. Space is limited, apply soon: https://michiganaccelerator.org/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=michigan_elective_pay_accelerator

Resilient communities start with empowered workers 💪⚡

From affordable housing to food security, our nonprofit partners provide the essential resources workers need to thrive. By helping these organizations go solar, we empower their teams to direct more resources where they matter most:

🥫 Other Avenues, San Francisco: A worker-owned cooperative grocery supporting local organic farms, small businesses, and workplace democracy.

🏠 Eastside Community Network, Detroit: A community well-being organization supporting affordable housing and energy-efficiency upgrades that lower costs for residents.

🚐 Via Mobility Services, Boulder: Providing essential paratransit services for individuals with disabilities, fostering autonomy and access to workplaces for those in need.

In celebration of Earth Week, we interviewed education leader Taletha Washburn to discuss how solar is powering resilient futures at Plumas Charter School in Quincy, California.

With a 55 kW solar system installed with RE-volv in 2023, the school is now protected from grid failures during wildfire season, ensuring that savings are reinvested where they matter most: in the students' education.

Yesterday, Trinity St. Peter's Episcopal Church celebrated the commissioning of their new 20 kW solar array with a ribbon-cutting and a blessing of the panels. This project was developed in partnership with RE-volv and California Interfaith Power & Light, and installed by the team at SunSource.

As the oldest Episcopal church on the West Coast (originally established in 1849), its mission has always been rooted in community stewardship. When their utility bills nearly tripled over the last two years, that mission was put at risk.

To make the transition possible, the church utilized RE-volv’s zero-down solar financing model. Through this financing, in combination with the federal Investment Tax Credit through Elective Pay, the parish is now projected to save more than $260,000 over the life of the system!

These savings will go directly toward supercharging their community work, including neighborhood cleanups and food insecurity programs.
