AB1340 has just been signed into law, making collective bargaining for rideshare drivers a reality. For too long, drivers have lacked basic protections: no recourse against unfair deactivation, no transparency in how apps and algorithms determine their pay, and no collective voice to demand fair compensation.

This is a starting point — a chance to build power and push for the protections drivers deserve. The road ahead won't be easy, but drivers finally have the legal right to organize and advocate together, and it's time for drivers throughout the State to unite and work together to win the protections that drivers deserve.

Shoutout to California Gig Workers Union - Northern California and
for leading us to this moment. The fight continues, and now drivers have new tools to win.

🚨 NEW Op-Ed from GWR Driver-Leader

In his new Op-Ed in the San Francisco Chronicle, Daryush—a driver and leader with Gig Workers Rising—shares what it feels like behind the wheel when Uber and Lyft let algorithms decide your pay.

For years, gig companies have sold “flexibility” while quietly slashing pay and hiding behind opaque systems that drivers can’t question or challenge. Instead of stability, drivers face uncertainty: shifting wages, retaliation for declining low-pay rides, and no control over how their data is being used against them.

Drivers like Daryush are standing up and demanding transparency, accountability, and fair treatment. Gig workers deserve to know how their pay is set—and to have a real voice in shaping the future of work.

⚡AI is already deciding how drivers get paid—and whether you get to stay on gig apps at all. And now, the corporations that profit off your work want to expand their control even more.

On Wednesday, Sep 17, executives from Uber, Walmart, Amazon are convening to write the rulebook on AI in the workplace—while shutting workers out of the conversation.

But we’re not staying silent. JOIN US as we demand fairness, transparency, and a real voice in how AI shapes our jobs and our lives!

Together, we're making one thing clear: workers deserve a seat at the table! ✊

📣 TOMORROW, drivers are sounding the alarm at Uber HQ.

Corporations like Uber and Lyft are using AI to drive profits while pushing higher costs onto the rest of us—drivers and riders alike.

Uber and Lyft’s AI-powered pay systems are slashing driver earnings while keeping passenger prices high. Drivers are reporting drops in income, app manipulation, and a system that feels more like gambling than work.

A new report based on 2,500+ drivers lays it bare: Uber’s algorithm is an inequality machine—and drivers of color and those with the greatest financial need are being hit hardest.

It’s on all of us to speak out. This fight is about more than just drivers—it’s about the kind of future we’re building for all workers.

Earlier this month, we rolled in with a massive caravan of 70+ drivers at San Francisco International Airport (SFO)—one of the busiest airports in the U.S. Our message was clear and impossible to ignore: drivers are demanding what they deserve—fair pay, safety, transparency, and an end to unfair deactivations. 💪🚗

Uber and Lyft track everything about their drivers—our location, earnings, response times, and even how much passengers are willing to pay—but they keep that information hidden. Their algorithm functions like an invisible boss, making decisions about pay, ride assignments, and deactivations with no transparency or accountability.

We know that higher fares don’t mean better pay—they only mean bigger profits for these app corporations. It will take all of us—drivers and riders—coming together to hold app corporations accountable, expose their greed and build real power together. ✊

This Valentine's, stand with drivers as we fight for what we deserve! 🚗✊

Tomorrow, February 14, join our Gig Worker Caravan as we demand fair pay, real safety protections, and an end to unjust deactivations. We’re tired of being left in the dark about the decisions that impact our daily lives.

This fight isn’t just about low wages—it’s about a system designed to control and manipulate both drivers and riders while keeping us unaware of the full extent of Uber’s power. Enough is enough. We deserve transparency, accountability, and a voice in the workplace. Meet us in Burlingame at 3PM and be part of the movement demanding justice for gig workers.

Spread the word, share with a fellow driver, and let’s take action together!

A new report from the UC Berkeley Labor Center confirms what many of us face daily: too many drivers earn far less than they need to survive. Our fight is about more than just pay—it’s about having the respect and dignity on the job that every worker deserves.

These are the injustices that push us to organize for change. When we come together, we amplify our power and make our voices heard. Let’s continue to push for fair pay, benefits, and a system that values drivers as essential workers, so that we can reach a future where drivers everywhere can thrive—not just survive. ✊

Uber's recent announcement is a direct result of drivers exerting pressure on the company to respond to our demands for transparency, fairness, and a real appeals process. This shift didn't happen by chance—it demonstrates the power of drivers organizing across the country!

But as JC Muhammad, a leader in the campaign, reminds us, this is just the beginning. The fight isn’t over until every driver receives the fair wages, respect, and protections we’ve been demanding.

Join our action on October 9 as we continue to fight for the rights of gig workers everywhere. Use the link in our bio to sign up for more info! 🔗

✊ We’ve been out in the field, connecting with drivers and making sure they understand the power of organizing. From long hours behind the wheel to unfair wages, we all share the same struggles; but when we stand united, we have the strength to push back and fight for the rights we deserve.

Organizing isn’t just about speaking up—it’s about creating lasting change. In the weeks ahead, we’ve got big plans to keep gig worker voices front and center, making sure corporations hear our message loud and clear. Remember that together, we have the power to demand fair treatment, better pay, and a workplace that respects us. 💪

Are you ready to stand with your fellow drivers? Follow us for updates and be part of this growing movement for justice!
