A criminal record can close the doors to housing and job opportunities. Next Tuesday, we'll be at National Night Out in the Bayview with the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area to help people in San Francisco start changing their records and take advantage of opportunities like Prop 47, which allows certain nonviolent felonies to be reclassified as misdemeanors. Spread the word!

National Night Out is next Tuesday! We'll be there with the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area and Bayview MAGIC.

This family friendly event is FREE; Food and fun activities. Schedule: BVHP Park Collaborative Launch (5:00pm-6:00pm), NNO Program and Activities (6:00pm-8:00pm) and MOVIE –ZOOTOPIA (8:00pm-10:00pm). First 50 people to attend will receive a safety kit. ***Change Your Record, Change Your Life – Get your free, confidential Live Scan to access your statewide RAP sheet and free legal advice about cleaning up your record. These services will be offered from 5:00pm – 8:00pm during NTO. Bring a government-issued photo ID. For more information, call the Second Chance Legal Clinic at 415-814-7610.
