Let’s recap the highlights of our trip to UC Berkeley last Spring semester! 🐻💙💛

In partnership with the Pilipinx Academic Student Services (PASS) & their Youth Mentorship (YM) Program, our middle school students went to UC Berkeley as part of our annual Shadow Day. They learned about the campus, college student life, and the different pathways to higher education. They also participated in a STEM project facilitated by Pilipinx Association of Scientists, Architects, and Engineers (PASAE) where they were challenged to build the strongest bridge using popsicle sticks.

Happy Filipino American History Month! 🇵🇭🎉

Our students and families are starting off FAHM strong with performances at the Sun Sala celebration hosted by FMHI-SF and SOMA Pilipinas.

Our GB Dance Crew consisting of 3rd-8th grade students performed the traditional southern Philippine folk dance, Pangalay. Then, the Galing Nanays performed the traditional Philippine folk dance from Bulacan, Bulaklakan, followed by a modern dance to the song, “Oooh Lala Baby” by Baby Dolls. Huge shout out thank you to our performers for working hard, rehearsing many nights to bring the community entertainment, culture, and good vibes! 🕺🎶

We also want to thank FMHI-SF and SOMA Pilipinas for bringing the community together and hosting such a fun event! ❤️💙💛

Last recap for GB ISLA Summer Camp 2025! 😅 Weeks 7-8: Isla ng Kasiyahan (Building Community with Joy)

Our final two weeks were filled with laughter, adventure and core memories! 😄
