When you all do this survey please remember we already have a Natural Parkour Playground in McLaren at the Redwood Grove so something different here would be better. The adventure obstacle and the GIANT NATURE THEME are the other alternatives. I prefer the latter. Kids love climbing to high places just like cats up a tree. Suggest fun and challenging elements and insist on swings! It's not really a playground without them.

Over 80 non profit groups with a lot more money in their accounts than we had for future and current projects are in a similar boat. Where's our hard earned donation money now? If they used it to pay themselves then they all should have to pay it back or go to jail. That's theft in my book!

If a kid on the street dressed in rags did the same he'd go to jail for sure. Why are we treating thieves with kid gloves because they are wearing suits?

For all those wondering how much we lost.... we had $5461 in our account with SF Park Alliance, where approximately half the money was (and was received from) a Community Challenge Grant Requirement to cover possible vandalism or damage to the mosaic project at the round house at Louis Sutter for the next 10 years. The other half was all donations meant to be spent in McLaren Park in some way or form that we were saving for the right cause or circumstance. (ie...like to cover the cost to repaint the mural at Peru St Playground or repair the outhouse enclosure we built at the same location, etc.)

So as of today we are out of compliance on our Community Challenge Grant because the money is no longer in our account and no one can donate to our group for the park or any concerts we produce because we no longer have 501C3 status.

I just spent several hours filling out a document showing proof of the money we had in our account with details on, not only who donated, but the date and amounts. They say there will be only pennies on the dollar returned to us.

Thank God this didn't happen in the middle of our CCG grant for the fish mosaic two years ago. That really would have put a wrench in everything!

Stay tuned. I am very sorry to all who entrusted us with their donations. I will do everything I can to see it returned and the villains held responsible.

Get up!! The moon is shining!
Head to the local park.
What a fabulous day for a McLaren Park Work Day!
Neighbors came out, a vine was pruned, green waste was gathered and dried wildflowers were raked up!
It was warm, but we had water, donuts, Cuties and apple juice and we got it done!
