Multiple-page design:

The pages feature a colorful frame with red, green, brown, yellow, and orange random shapes and striped patterns. The BAADA logo appears above the title. The large title reads “Immigrant” in purple, “Heritage” in orange, and “Month” in green. At the bottom of the page, there is an illustration of a diverse group of Asian immigrants, people with disabilities, and wheelchair users gathering together, representing inclusion and community.

Page 2:
The background design remains consistent with Page 1, without the illustration of diverse people at the bottom. Small text appears within the frame and reads:

Instead of focusing on famous Deaf individuals, I think it is crucial to shine a spotlight on the everyday lives of the Deaf immigrant community. They possess just as much talent and potential as those in the public eye. So many unknown Deaf people have incredible skills. Please don’t forget that Deaf immigrants work tirelessly, often taking on difficult jobs in small businesses. We should stay humble and remember them.

Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise gift. Wonha truly had no idea that Iman was such a talented artist. She is originally from Syria, and it is an honor to build friendships like this through our organization, the Bay Area Asian Deaf Association (BAADA).
BAADA embraces the diversity of all Asian communities, including East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia, Central Asia, and Pacific Islanders. “Asian” should never be limited only to East Asians. Although some people may mistakenly assume that a Syrian person is white based on appearance, identity is defined by the individual, and it is important that we respect how people identify themselves.
Asia is incredibly diverse in culture, ethnicity, language, and appearance, yet we remain connected through our shared Asian identities and experiences. Within the Asian Deaf immigrant community, we must continue supporting, uplifting, and empowering one another while building meaningful connections that strengthen equity and inclusion for everyone.
Wonha is proud to advocate for and protect the Asian Deaf immigrant community while remaining active in our Asian Deaf organizations. Thank you again, Iman, for your kindness, talent, and beautiful gift. 🙏🏼

Wonha Park had a wonderful time at the farewell lunch hosted by the ASL Club team! Over the past year, he has worked closely and collaboratively with both the ASL Club and BAADA teams to successfully organize a variety of events—including a Halloween party, bowling, a Holi celebration, and an International Lunch event. Within a community, fostering meaningful connections and collaboration is far more important than keeping individual organizations isolated from one another.
