Every day, the families we serve are told the economy is doing fine. Wages are up. Growth is strong. That's not what we hear when we talk to them.

We looked at nearly a decade of our own data, more than 11,000 families, to understand what's really happening. Incomes went up on paper, but after the real cost of living, our families have less purchasing power today than in 2016. The gap between them and their neighbors is widening, not closing. And still, they keep showing up.
