Free youth scholarships for immersive music production 🎧

Applications are now open for Envelop’s Youth Producers Program, a free scholarship opportunity for Bay Area youth ages 13–20 to explore immersive music production and spatial audio. 🎼

Participants receive:
• 4 group workshops
• 16 hours of mentorship
• Guidance in creating an immersive music project
• No prior experience required

Applications close June 8.

A tax-deductible donation to Envelop helps keep the Youth Producers Program free and accessible, funding scholarships, mentorship, and creative opportunities for young people exploring the future of sound.

Join us on Wednesday, June 24 for a listening session of Boards of Canada’s Inferno. ❤️

Recently released, Inferno marks the Scottish duo’s first album in thirteen years. Expanding on their signature blend of analog warmth, cryptic samples, and immersive electronic textures, the record unfolds as a cinematic journey through memory, mysticism, science, and the unknown. A look back at our Youth Producers Program, where young creatives explored immersive sound, learned new skills, and created together. 🎼

Through hands on workshops with Ableton Live and Envelop for Live, participants learned spatial audio while collaborating and experimenting. 💻

Celebrating 9 years of Envelop. 🎉

Looking back at the early days of building the space reminds us how much care, collaboration, and dedication it took to bring this vision to life: organizing cables for all 32 speakers, assembling custom brackets and speaker columns, dialing in the lights, those first meetings in ESF, endless calibration and testing sessions, team hangs, artist collaborations, private tours, and all the rebuilding that went into reopening post-COVID.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Envelop has always been a collective effort, shaped by the people who have built, supported, and believed in this space over the last 9 years. ❤️🔊
