GPF and World Affairs CEO Philip Yun at this year’s Brazilian Philanthropy Forum!

Nossos desafios são imensos nos novos horizontes. Assim a presidente do , Paula Fabiani, encerrou o segundo e último dia do Fórum Brasileiro de Filantropos e Investidores Sociais 2020, que reuniu 200 participantes virtualmente. Os temas tratados foram desde a filantropia comunitária, passando pela cultura de doação e socorro às até a experiência internacional e a união de bancos pela Amazônia.

Edu Lyra, do Gerando Falcões, abriu os trabalhos mostrando o resultado da enquete “Se você tivesse R$ 1 milhão para arriscar, em qual tipo de solução inovadora você investiria?” A maioria das pessoas priorizaria o investimento em educação e inovação.

No painel da filantropia comunitária, falou-se sobre a importância do empoderamento dos líderes e da comunidade local, que precisam ser ouvidos para que as soluções sejam eficientes para reduzir a desigualdade social.

Comentando sobre Motivações e Caminhos para a Avaliação de Impacto, o presidente da Parceiros da Educação e da Casa do Saber, Jair Ribeiro, afirmou que medir resultados é a melhor forma de promover a evolução contínua, avaliar as intervenções nas escolas e entender como se dá o impacto da atuação. Alcione Albanesi, fundadora dos Amigos do Bem, explicou que sempre realizam acompanhamento dos processos e esse trabalho está sendo consolidado em parceria com o IDIS.

Itaú, bradesco e Santander Brasil se reuniram para explicar o esforço conjunto pela Amazônia. Contaram que deixaram os crachás de lado e foram aprender com o experts como ter uma atuação de impacto na região, mobilizando empresas e clientes em prol das comunidades e de ações que ajudem no desenvolvimento econômico.

No painel que abordou o socorro às ONGs, Carola Matarazzo, do Movimento BEM MAIOR, afirmou que “Deveríamos trocar o ‘novo normal’ por uma ‘nova moral’”. Já José Luiz Egydio Setúbal, presidente e instituidor da Fundação José Luiz Egydio Setúbal e vice-presidente do Instituto PENSI, acredite que as elites brasileiras ainda doam pouco.

A palestra com tema Novos horizontes da filantropia no mundo encerrou o evento, reunindo em debate Philip Yun, presidente e CEO do World Affairs e do Global Philanthropy Forum; Matthew Bishop, autor do livro Philanthrocapitalism e Michael Mapstone, diretor de Relações Externas e Engajamento Global da Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), moderados pela diretora-presidente do IDIS, Paula Fabiani. Os participantes falaram das grandes mudanças que a pandemia trouxe para nossas vidas e para a atuação de cada um. Yun ponderou sobre como tudo está acelerado - e deve se acelerar mais - e dentro desse paradigma questionou os novos desafios das mudanças climáticas e da urgência de ações, ou depois não teremos tempo para de consertar. Dentro do foco da filantropia, Mapstone chamou atenção para a relevância da transparência de dados, prestação de contas e maior conscientização sobre as estruturas para garantir respostas ágeis. Para Bishop, os filantropos poderão ter papel importante nas mudanças para o futuro, bem como a tecnologia, usada como força do bem.

Para concluir, a presidente do IDIS afirmou estar esperançosa e acreditar que o futuro seja promissor. “A raça humana já demonstrou que é muito capaz de se adaptar e encontrar soluções para os desafios”.
