Spotlighting another wonderful project funded through the Interim Housing Accessibility Improvement Fund (IHAIF), operated in partnership with L.A. Care Health Plan, HealthNet, Inc., Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative, and Brilliant Corners. The IHAIF Grant Program provides funding to Interim Housing providers for accessibility-related projects that improve access or usability for people with disabilities.
Life Center Housing provides interim housing and accommodations for individuals experiencing homelessness, including those with disabilities who require specialized accessibility features. Its mission is to create an accessible, dignified residential environment that supports client recovery and long-term rehousing success.
Thanks to funds provided by the IHAIF Grant Program, upgrades were completed across the property, including a new wheelchair ramp, a full ADA restroom remodel, lighting improvements, and ADA compliant entrance ways and plumbing fixtures. These enhancements now ensure full at the main facility, significantly improving safety, mobility, and service delivery.
