Hispanic & Latino Heritage Month may have come to a close, but our appreciation for BGCSF’s Latino families lasts all year long. ❤️

Earlier this month, families came together at our Columbia Park Clubhouse to honor the cultures, traditions, and stories that make our community so vibrant. We know this has been a challenging time for many Latino families, making moments of connection, joy, and togetherness more important than ever.

We’re proud to stand alongside our families and celebrate the strength, richness, and spirit they bring to our BGCSF community. ❤️💛💚

🏀 Hoops on the pier, behind-the-scenes Navy access, and a whole lot of new experiences!

About 120 BGCSF members in grades 3–8 from 11 Club sites hit the court at this year’s Hoops with the Troops, a Fleet Week basketball clinic. After running drills on the pier, they got to tour a Navy vessel and see how it works up close. 🛳️

From teamwork on the court to exploring careers beyond it, this is what learning beyond the Clubhouse looks like.

Big thanks to the U.S. Navy, Academy of Art, and The Olympic Club for making it happen! 🙌

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco mourns the passing of Marty Bohlen, whose dedication to our organization spanned 50 years on our Board and three decades as the beloved Camp Chef at Camp Mendocino.

Marty gave generously of his time and talents, serving generations of campers, staff, and volunteers with humility and heart. His impact will live on in the countless lives he touched and the many stories shared by those who knew him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest gratitude to Marty’s family. Camp Mendocino was truly fortunate to have his friendship and care.

What a night! Kids Night Out brought together BGCSF members and volunteers for an evening built around connection — giving our youth quality time with a caring adult who shows up just for them. This year, Big Buddies and Little Buddies hit the field for our "Kicking It Together" theme, packed with games, crafts, good food, and teamwork all around.

Around two years ago, we opened the doors to the Springer Clubhouse in Sunnydale. It’s been such a successful summer 🎉 From new friendships to new skills, this space has become exactly what we hoped: a place where our youth can learn, grow, and just be kids. There's still more building to do in this community, but seeing what's already here makes the road ahead feel worth it! We are excited for this school year and the many years to come!
