As the nonprofit arm of The Village, San Francisco’s state-of-the-art, 17,000 sq ft private event venue, The Village Impacts hosts workshops, seminars, and unique events with the mission of fostering partnerships between the Bay Area’s tech, arts, and science communities. We are creating a bridge between these industries and communities through a series of curated events, with the goal of making c

onnections that will lead to innovative ideas, leaving a positive impact on the world. Background

In a continued effort to revitalize San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood, The Village Founder and CEO, Jonathan Rowe, saw an opportunity to use his event space to host public events while giving back to the community. To spearhead the idea, he reached out to long-time friend and collaborator, Uday Joshi. Joshi, a successful leader and educator in arts and humanities, is currently a Fellow at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. where he leads the Arts + Media National Youth Summit. Previously, Joshi has served as a Strategic Consultant at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, a Program Producer at the Alameda County Alliance for Arts Learning Leadership, the Principal and Director of Admissions at Oakland School for the Arts, an Initiative Coordinator at Harvard University, as well as several other Fellowship and teaching positions.
