Most people go to conferences hoping to get 30 seconds with someone they admire.

A quick hello. Maybe a follow-up that never happens.

What if instead, you spent the entire day in the room with them—learning how they actually built wealth?

That’s Startup School: Pathways to Wealth.

12 HBCU grads per day.
3–5 mentors and wealth champions per day.
No stage. No panels. Just real conversations.

Designed for HBCU graduates (Classes of 2023–2026) in their first role.

📍 NYC · June 8–12
Each day is a separate track — apply for one day.

Apply by April 19 - Link in Bio

What happens when awareness of venture capital grows faster than real opportunity to participate?

Today we’re sharing HBCUvc’s 2025 Impact Report. This year’s report reflects on that question.

We’ve now trained over 300 fellows, supported 181 venture placements. and seen alumni influence more than $10M in capital deployed to Black founders. But this report is not just a record of programs. It examines how the venture ecosystem is changing - and what those changes mean for the next phase of this work.

We look forward to sharing more about what comes next.

At HBCUvc, we track the flow of capital to Black founders - not just to understand the numbers, but to change them. Today, we are releasing our Q2 2025 Black Venture Funding Report, spotlighting 19 Black-founded startups that raised $290.7 million in equity capital last quarter. These companies span AI, healthcare, fintech, and climate tech - and together represent just 0.42% of the $69.9 billion in U.S. venture funding deployed in Q2, according the Pitchbook. While the funding gap remains stark, this report surfaces key insights for investors, founders, and policymakers working to close it.
