This month, Supervisor Mahmood's office is leading to update San Francisco's Fair Chance Ordinance to protect reproductive freedom and gender-based expression.

Across the country, states are criminalizing basic human rights. This ordinance will ensure when people move to our city they will not be discriminated against by potential employers or housers simply for getting an abortion or participating in a drag performance.

The ordinance will come to a vote before the Board of Supervisors next week. Join us Bilal Mahmood, community stakeholders and leaders, and one of the original authors of the Fair Chance Ordinance .cohen for a rally at 9am on Thursday June 18 as we pass these protections into law.

Thank you as we commemorate 60 years since the Compton's Cafeteria riot this Pride month.

Together we planted 6 new trees with and Bureau of Urban Forestry. These trees are now a few feet from the original compton's cafeteria riot.

Rooted in resilience, growing with pride. 🏳️‍⚧️🌈

If you want to get involved for our next tree planting, reach out email at [email protected]

hot hot hot off press!

"Trans liberation and Black liberation have always been intertwined, and Mardi Gras is itself a tradition born from Black resistance, from communities reclaiming space and joy on our own terms," McCree continued. "The Tenderloin carries that same spirit, and these histories speak to each other."
