The Blanding Scholarship Fund, established in honor of late educator and Bayview/Hunter’s Point resident Johnnie B. Blanding, aims to help young people from the Bayview/Hunter’s Point neighborhood of San Francisco reach their educational goals. We award two $5,000 scholarships each year, and provide mentoring and support for our scholarship recipients. Our goal is to enable high school seniors to expand their educational opportunities.
