JCYC Upward Bound

JCYC Upward Bound Upward Bound at the Japanese Community Youth Council (JCYC) JCYC Upward Bound is a federal pre-college TRIO Program that is funded by the U.S.

Department of Education. The JCYC Upward Bound program was established in 1995 to provide high school students in San Francisco with comprehensive college and career preparation. The program targets low-income high school students who represent the first generation of college bound students in their respective families. The year-round program serves 150 eligible students each year, offering an aca

demic year of services and an intensive, six-week summer program. Students are recruited during their freshman and sophomore years and they continue participating until they graduate high school. JCYC Upward Bound currently serves: Balboa High School, Mission High School, John O'Connell High School, Galileo Academy of Science and Technology, and International Studies Academy.

Mark your calendars everyone! On Friday, May 10, 2019 the JCYC College Access Programs will be collaborating with Matcha Cafe Maiko (San Francisco Japantown location) to fundraise for our College Access Programs! More details below!

We are so excited to announce that we will be collaborating with Matcha Cafe Maiko (San Francisco Japantown location) to fundraise money for our College Access programs! Big thank you to Matcha Cafe Maiko for the support!

On Friday, May 10th, 20% of the day's sales from Matcha Cafe will go towards funding our programs and resources for our youth! No need to bring a copy of the flyer on the day of the fundraiser.
