ShelterTech helps make the impossible possible.

As Calder Lorenz of The Gubbio Project shared:
“…everyone we serve can easily use the internet and essential online services. ShelterTech has bridged that divide for us.”

At The Gubbio Project, that means guests can get online to apply for SNAP and Medicaid, search for housing and other essential services, connect with outreach teams, and access medical pop-ups and care. care.

Exciting news - we’re building Navigator, an AI guide for San Francisco case workers.

Navigator helps you quickly find the right resources for your clients. Just describe who you’re helping and where they are, and it surfaces relevant services across shelter, health, housing, employment, and more.

We’re currently live in early and opening it up to case workers and social service professionals who want to help shape the product.

If you’re working in SF social services (or know someone who is), we’d love for you to try it out.

DM us for access.

We built for this.

“I use the DC Nav site every day - I keep it open in a tab on my browser. A lot of the printed materials we have are years, if not decades, old and sometimes include services that no longer exist. With the DC Service Guide, I know the information is up to date.”

That’s the Head of Social Work at Zuckerberg San Francisco General’s Emergency Department.
In the ED, outdated resource lists don’t just slow things down - they send people to services that aren’t there.

So providers are choosing tools they can trust. Tools that are live, current, and built for real-world use.

Built by this community.

Calling all engineers interested in AI

We’re working to modernize how we update our SF Service Guide, a resource that helps connect thousands of people to essential services across San Francisco. Right now, the guide is updated manually every quarter, and we’re looking for volunteers with experience in AI agents, web scraping, or workflow automation to help us improve that process.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants hands-on experience using AI to work with real-world data and build something that directly benefits the community. If you’re interested in helping automate this work and make an impact for thousands of people, please submit our volunteer interest form in our bio.

Huge thanks to the team for your incredible support during our datathon! 🙌

Visa volunteers helped update our SF Service Guide - a vital resource for more than 13,000 people in San Francisco. Together, we vetted a wide range of services, from support for survivors of abuse to essential amenities like showers. Your teamwork and dedication made a real impact - we couldn’t have done it without you!

Proud Partner Alert!

We just wrapped up our second virtual Datathon with through !

Over 30 Comcast volunteers spent their time vetting our SF Service Guide data - ensuring people experiencing homelessness can find the accurate, up-to-date resources they need.
