Our mission is to encourage and increase biodiversity on Strawberry Hill with a special focus on native butterflies. We strive to nurture the delicate ecosystem of butterfly habitat by improving the landscape, planting and cultivating host plants, while also maintaining an inviting setting to be shared and enjoyed by all who visit the park. On a fine day, you might see Swallowtails, Painted Ladies

, Cabbage Whites, Skippers, Red Admirals, or others of the 35 species that live and breed in San Francisco. Strawberry Hill volunteer work days are the second Saturday of every month, from 10am to 12:30pm. We meet at the Stow Lake Boathouse. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
