Xela Xiomara
It is with a very heavy heart, I am writing this post.
Xela Tennenbaum-Brown Passed through the veil of this life to the next on June 16, 2026. May she find comfort in the loving arms of the Goddess. QuanYin, give her peace.
Xela was a bright light as a young girl at Elderflower in the 1990s. She first came at age 10. She will be remember most for her generous loving spirit and for the many volunteer hours she committed to the Elderflower community as a young woman. She led many girls activities over the years and was always ready to drive to Fort Bragg for supplies. She especially loved Seagiver's Hula teachings as it helped her to connect with her Hawaiian heritage.
It has been many years since the last time she last attended the festival, but many of us continued to hold hope that she would someday make her way back to the festival.
She is remembered as being devoted to the care of her grandmother Mari Perez, may she rest in peace, who attended Elderflower a few times in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Xela leaves behind many loving family members, including her mother Francesca and her two second moms, Bev and Donna as well as many friends who will all miss her beautiful and rare smile.
We had her for 40 years. Now she is gone too soon. Please light a candle to ease her passing and her family's grief. A memorial will be held later in the year.
Please feel free to share your memories of Xela.
