Last Sunday, One Brick SF Bay Area volunteers helped out at the San Francisco stop of the national Walk MS series at its new location at Levi's Plaza doing event set-up, registration, course water, first aid, food and drink, VIP hospitality and event tear-down. Funds raised from this event support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

🌟 A heartfelt THANK YOU to Wilhelm of the San Francisco OneBrick group! 🌟

Our Northern California chapter is incredibly grateful for Wilhelm’s outstanding leadership and dedication to making our events run smoothly. Every year at our Breath of Life Gala, we rely on over 10 volunteers to handle critical tasks with speed and precision so that our guests and donors have a seamless experience. For the past several years, Wilhelm has stepped up to not only recruit these volunteers but also keep everyone organized and on track — all with his trademark kindness and attentiveness.

In 2024, Wilhelm went above and beyond by bringing an additional group to help with logistics at our San Francisco Great Strides Walk. We truly can’t thank him enough for his unwavering support. 🌟

A handful of volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area spent Easter Sunday at Children’s Fairyland in Oakland, CA helping to staff the prize redemption tables for the park's Eggs-Change and Flower Find games as part of Children's Fairyland's Bunny Weekend. Our volunteers all agreed it was a fun way to spend Easter morning.

This past Friday afternoon volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area helped to distribute race packets and participant apparel to triathletes taking part in this weekend's annual Marin Triathlon (formerly the Marin Endurance Festival). The event organizers thanked our volunteers with colorful bicycling jerseys, tank tops and a pizza party to close out the shift.

Volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area helped to create gift bags for VIP guests and grabbed buckets to secure donations from generous guests during the intermission and after the show as the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus presented their Spring concert, "Broadway, Our Way" at the historic Curran Theatre in San Francisco. Our volunteers were able to watch the spectacular sold out concert in its entirety.

At another weekend fundraiser volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area helped to check in registered guests and provided support for the silent and live auctions as well as event breakdown at the annual Starlight Auction Gala, this year held at the Westin St. Francis, to benefit the Claire Lilienthal schools.

Volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area staffed this weekend's annual fundraiser gala for the Dianne Feinstein Elementary School DFES Parent Teacher Association, a 1980's themed party where our volunteers helped bartend, pass around appetizers, ran a wine toss game, assisted with photo ops next to a DeLorean vehicle, served dinner and bussed tables on a fun and successful fundraising night.

A big thank you to the volunteer group from Hinge Health Group who joined some of our regular One Brick SF Bay Area volunteers along with other volunteers on a rainy night last night to our second Wednesdays prep session shift with At The Crossroads (ATC). With creative minds abound we created greeting cards for use by ATC's clients, unhoused young people who otherwise might not find the consistent support necessary to get back to a more normal life.

You'll find our "Supply Prep for the Homeless" volunteer sessions with ATC every second and fourth Wednesday evenings on our One Brick San Francisco calendar (https://onebrick.org/chapters/sfbay).

Whether we're creating gift cards, sorting through donated clothing, rolling socks, cleaning gently used backpacks, packing hygiene products into kits or making candy packs for homeless youth outreach, you'll walk away from each session knowing you did something great that night. Please join us!

Roll it back to this past Saturday at The Chan National Q***r Arts Center in San Francisco where One Brick SF Bay Area volunteers helped staff two sold out performances of Come Together: A Beatles Cabaret by the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. Volunteers helped set up, served as greeters and ushers, helped to hand out programs then collected surveys and helped clean up at the end of the night. Volunteers were able to enjoy each program in its entirety.

Volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area played an active role at last night's preview night of the 72nd Pacific Orchid Exposition & Sale assisting with catering, helping to scan tickets, helping out at the plant sale, staffing the various entry doors and the members service table as well. Over 400 guests attended this annual event, a benefit for the San Francisco Orchid Society.

10 days ago volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area helped out for the second shift at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Northern California Chapter Breath of Life Gala collecting, organizing and retrieving silent auction items for winning patrons to pick up, recording winning bidder numbers during the live auction and the Bid-for-a-Cure paddle raise then helping to clean up and tear down the gala venue. One Brick has helped out at the last 4 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Northern California Breath of Life Galas dating back to 2020.
