At the recent San Francisco stop for Walk MS volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area helped with set up at food and beverage, table coverings and the inflation of the big balloon arch. Once the event got under way our volunteers staffed the first aid tent, helped replenish food and water, distributed t-shirts and helped on registration before grabbing cowbells and pom poms and cheering on walk participants as they returned from their Sunday morning walk. Great job walkers and volunteers!!

Over the course of 2 days and a total of 3 shifts totaling close to 13 hours volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area helped out at the annual Alliance for Smiles Night of Smiles Gala at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco. On the day prior to the gala our volunteers helped to lay out and set up the silent auction area and added name cards and programs to the guest tables in the grand ballroom. In addition we helped decorate and set up the back drop for the photo area. On event night our volunteers covered coat check, guest registration, silent auction, way-finding, live auction and auction close-out responsibilities. This fundraiser which One Brick has helped out at since 2019 has become a favorite event among our volunteers.

We can't allow Volunteer Appreciation Week to pass through without giving a huge shout out to all of our amazing One Brick SF Bay Area volunteers who show up month after month, sometimes week after week and provides the energy, fun and great work ethic in support of One Brick and our partner nonprofits! We truly would be just one single brick without your gift of time and your amazing work!

Last weekend in celebration of the Easter weekend, One Brick SF Bay Area volunteers joined with other volunteers at Children’s Fairyland to help out with the Bunny Weekend. Our volunteers helped staff Eggs-change stations, arts and craft activities and game playing stations. We had a great time in making sure the younger kids enjoyed their visit to this popular storybook park.

Volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area proved to be rock stars once again helping to staff the Saturday packet pick-up session prior to Sunday's sold out Golden State 5K race at Thrive City at Chase Center. Our volunteers directed participants on where to go, assigned race numbers, stuffed runner bags and distributed runner shirts during the long 5 hour shift. Proceeds from this event benefit the Golden State Community Foundation.

The race begins in a few hours. Hope to see some of you back out there helping out along the course on race day!!

Howdy!!

Volunteers from One Brick SF Bay Area helped out again at the western themed annual fundraiser for the Dianne Feinstein Elementary School DFES on Saturday, March 21st. Our volunteers bartended, ran a w**e toss game, sold raffle tickets, helped pass around food, helped to serve food, bussed tables, rinsed and stacked plates and silverware and helped with kitchen cleanup all in a night's work as lots of much-needed dollars were raised for this San Francisco public school.

What a busy start to the weekend! Fresh off a Thursday evening fundraiser a handful of One Brick SF Bay Area helped to set up food trays, checked in guests, helped to serve beverages then assisted in the overall cleanup of this unique space which included a couple of hidden rooms at the ScholarMatch Friday, March 13th night mixer which brought together their staff, board members, alumni and non-profit partners for an appreciation party.

Then on Saturday evening, March 14th, One Brick SF Bay Area helped to greet guests, check them in, issue the guests bidder paddles, staffed the w**e pull area then assisted in bid-spotting for the live auction and the fund-a-need segments of the evening at the annual Claire Lilienthal Elementary School Starlight Gala which raised important dollars for San Francisco public schools.

Job well done, One Brick volunteers! Please get some rest!

One Brick SF Bay Area wishes to thank the dozen volunteers (not all pictured in this post) who donated their time and energy last night on Thursday, March 12, 2026 in helping to staff the annual Access Institute Spectrum Gala & Art Auction at the beautiful Pier 27 Cruise Terminal. One Brick volunteers helped to check in guests, staffed the coat check area, retrieved and carefully wrapped amazing art pieces, helped with guests checkout and art retrieval and helped to clean up before calling it a night. Another great job, One Brick volunteers!

On Thursday evening, February 26, 2026 One Brick SF Bay Area volunteers assisted at the Preview Night of the 73rd Pacific Orchid Exposition presented by the San Francisco Orchid Society. One Brick volunteers helped with admissions, credentials and catering support to get the annual orchid show off to a great start. Attending guests were treated to a variety of light bites, refreshing sips of w**e and beautiful orchid displays throughout the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park. The exposition continues on Friday, February 27th, Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st. For ticket information please see the last image posted.
