Balboa Village Merchants Association

Balboa Village Merchants Association Balboa Village is what we are calling our neighborhood! We are the merchants association for the businesses on Balboa Street in Outer Richmond district.

Building a Thriving Outer Richmond Community for All. Balboa Village Merchants Association was established in 2015, after a dedicated efforts of local merchants and local school PTA's alike.

With businesses celebrating 20 years or more of standing on the strip to newer businesses flourishing the last 5 years, our corridor is one of the most vibrant in the San Francisco.

BVMA thrives to serve

the businesses on the strip, as well as to help develop a vibrant neighborhood that residents can enjoy and love.

Our goal is for all residents to know about all businesses in the corridor. With the help of social media and combined effort from merchants and local government, we are getting there one step at a time.

Our friends at Eat Americana are saying goodbye. Their last day open is in just a few days, Sunday April 12th. We stopped in for brunch today and had our favorite dishes. We will miss them dearly. If you are able, show your support, say hello, give hugs! I’m positive they will be happy to see you ♥️

A letter from Eat Americana

A Heartfelt Thank You & Farewell from Eat Americana
To our beloved neighbors, loyal friends, and dear patrons.

It is with a heavy heart, yet a spirit full of gratitude, that we announce Eat Americana will be closing its doors for the final time on April 12, 2026.

For the past 30 years, we have had the absolute honor of serving this community. You haven’t just been our customers; you have become our family. We have watched children grow up, shared countless laughs, and celebrated life’s milestones across our tables. Your unwavering support and warm smiles have been the heartbeat of this restaurant since the very beginning.
However, due to health considerations, it is time for the owner to focus on recovery and rest. While it is difficult to say goodbye to a place that holds three decades of memories, we know it is the right time to begin this new chapter.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every visit, every kind word, and for making Eat Americana a part of your lives. We are eternally grateful for the love you have shown us.

With love and deepest gratitude,
The Eat Americana Family

Lunar New Year Night Market and Parade 2026 is coming to the Richmond!

Mark your calendars: February 7, 2026: our neighborhood’s largest cultural celebration is returning to the Outer Balboa corridor.

In just a few years, this event has transformed from an
800-person gathering at The Richmond Neighborhood Center into a full-scale parade and night market drawing more than 5,000 neighbors, uplifting local artists, and bringing record foot traffic to our small business community.

This year’s celebration will continue that momentum.
This event brings long-overdue cultural visibility and connection to the west side, where many AAPI families have celebrated Lunar New Year for generations, but without a formal local celebration.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
