Hi! 👋 We’ve noticed lots of new faces joining our page, welcome!

We are Sisterhood Gardens, a multifunctional community garden located on Brotherhood Way in San Francisco’s OMI neighborhood. 🌱

This past weekend, we celebrated our 🐝 10th Anniversary, and our hearts are full. Thank you to our neighbors, friends, families, volunteers, and everyone who spent the day celebrating with us in the garden.

Together, we raised an incredible✨$11,400✨with more than 100 community members invested in the future of Sisterhood Gardens. We are so grateful for your generosity!

A huge shout-out to our amazing partners, garden members, and volunteers who made the celebration special:

Join us for our Sisterhood Gardens’ 10th Anniversary Celebration & Fundraiser this Saturday, July 25, 12–3 PM at 116 Arch Street, San Francisco.

🌱Check out our 2️⃣free activity stations hosted by our steering committee members and volunteers! Donations are always welcome.

🔄🌻Plant & Seed Exchange: Nataliya will host a plant and seed exchange where you can bring plants you’ve grown, seeds you’ve harvested, cuttings, or other garden goodies to share and trade with fellow gardeners.

🎨Craft Station: Laura and Audrey Audrey Glynn will lead a fun craft station where you can make flower lei necklaces and tie-dye bandanas. You’re also welcome to bring your own white clothing or fabric item to create a one-of-a-kind tie-dye design!

Finally, 🍽️ Meal Tickets: Meal tickets are selling out quickly. Be sure to reserve yours in advance to guarantee a lunch. If you don‘t purchase a meal ticket, please bring your own lunch or make other arrangement.

Some gifts help a garden grow. Others help a memory take root. 🌸

As Sisterhood Gardens prepares to celebrate 10 years, we are honored by two meaningful dedications:

Jamie Chan, Ed.D. made a Name a Dahlia Dedication in honor of her mother, whose Chinese name evokes the light at dusk. This original Sisterhood-grown bloom will be named 'Sisterhood afterglow' 🌅, a living tribute rooted in beauty, legacy, and love.

We are also grateful for Beatrice and her family’s bench dedication in memory of their beloved daughter Zuri. Their family traveled from afar to gather in the garden, share stories, and honor Zuri in a place connected to joy, color, healing, and community. We’ll share more of their story soon.

These dedications are more than 🎁s. They preserve Sisterhood Gardens and provide much-needed operating funds so this beloved community garden can continue to bloom for future generations.
