This past weekend, the BACC met up for a day of trail development and climbing at Vent 5. 

After a general meeting (complete with amazing breakfast burritos) in the parking lot, we hiked down to the picturesque coastal climbing walls and got to work! In an effort to renaturalize the previous social trail that most people utilized to make their way down to popular climbing spots like Vent 5, Kombucha Crag, and The Woo Wall, the BACC developed a more convenient, stable, and environmentally-friendly trail.

And of course, no BACC meetup would be complete without a little climbing, using the newly developed trail to get down to the crag and up on the wall. 

Join us for our next stewardship event at Glen Canyon Park on April 18th, where we will partner with San Francisco Recreation and Parks to clean the crag and remove invasive plant species. All required tools will be provided, so come join us in protecting Bay Area climbing!

🎥 The BACC is excited to host a film screening of “Guerreras” at the New Parkway Theater on Sunday, April 12th, from 12:30-2:30 pm. The short film features the stories of seven women climbers, who gather to discuss their struggles and redefine womanhood. .film

All ticket sales will be donated back to the film project to encourage and support independent storytelling in outdoor spaces.

On our 10th anniversary, we are proud to announce we’ve partnered with both Crag Life and Recover Brands to offer BACC gear!

Crag Life is a business formed by climbers for climbers. They support various climbing organizations by supporting merchandising and fundraising efforts.

Recover Brands uses 100% recycled or organic materials in all their products. Environmentally friendly and socially responsible fabrics are at the core of their mission. They have graciously offered to set up a t-shirt campaign to fundraise for the BACC, which will receive 20% of net sales.
