NEXT Village San Francisco

NEXT Village San Francisco At NEXT Village, we believe in the power of community to achieve society-wide change in the way we age.

Everyday, we work to build caring communities that dignify aging and honor our desire to age in the place we call home. Our mission is to provide residents of San Francisco’s northeast corner with the confidence and practical means to live safely and comfortably in their homes and in their community as they age.

In case you missed it, we talked with Arizona State University professor, Ross Andel, about cognitive aging and retirement. He says there is evidence that we can avoid a decline in reasoning if we continue to challenge our brain by volunteering or learning something new.

Three Days Until the Senior & Disability Day of Action — Restore the Cuts!

The Mayor's proposed budget cuts $8.9 MILLION from senior and disability programs. That means slashing tech access, geriatric mental health, employment help, legal assistance, and more — vital programs that help people stay housed, fed, connected, and independent.

Budgets are moral documents. And this one is failing us.

On June 15, we're showing up at City Hall to demand better. Join community members, older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers, advocates, and service providers to say: Don't ignore us.

Monday, June 15, 2026 | San Francisco City Hall

Older adults and people with disabilities are more than 27% of San Francisco residents — and that number is growing. It's time the City's budget reflected that.

Protect our communities. Restore the cuts. Fund San Francisco's values.

A cut to one is a cut to all.

Older adults, people with disabilities, advocates, service providers, and community members are invited to follow the Yellow Brick Road to San Francisco City Hall on Monday, June 15. Dance Party -- DISCO! 💃🕺🏻

When: Friday, Jun 12 1:30PM - 3:00PM PDT

Where: Aquatic Park Area (Exact location will be provided on the email confirmation to registrants.)

If you haven't joined us for one of our Dance Parties yet, what are you waiting for? Don't worry if you have two left feet and haven't danced in decades -- come have fun on the dance floor or simply enjoy the music.

If you used to love to dance but now find dance places are too dark, loud, and crowded, this is the perfect opportunity to have fun. No dance partners required, this is a casual event where you can enjoy a mix of tunes from the ages. Come check it out and see if you feel like joining people on the dance floor. If not, there are plenty of seats so you can tap your foot while enjoying the music and atmosphere! And why not invite friends you haven't seen in a bit to join you for a ready-made fun afternoon out?

This free event is hosted by NEXT Village and Aquatic Park Senior Center.
