Your grace, energy and effortless stage presence kept the evening flowing beautifully. A huge shout out to my Warriors volunteer team Rajashri Setlur, Shilpa Raina and Ashwini Gowda for spreading their magic and making this event a success! Warriors For Empowerment’s mission is to inspire, educate, and empower underprivileged children in India. 🌍 Through our fundraiser events we are able to provide financial support and empower the lives of more children. The Gala was a way to connect to the Bay Area community through a special cause close to our hearts, through music, dance, fashion and poetry. Paithani sarees represent the absolute grace, luxury and vibrant heritage of India. 🇮🇳 This Independence Day, We Celebrate More Than Freedom We Celebrate Hope. ❤️

For many of us, Independence Day is a celebration of our nation’s freedom. But for the children we serve at Warriors for Empowerment (WFE), freedom also means something deeply personal the freedom to dream, the freedom to learn, and the freedom to believe that their circumstances do not define their future.

Today, we saw beautiful smiles on the faces of our students as they celebrated Independence Day with pride and happiness.

Delicious popsicles, arts and crafts, patriotic performances, skits, flag designing, singing, Bhangra, traditional food served on banana leaves, yummy cake, and thought-provoking games were just some of the highlights of this year’s Warriors For Empowerment Independence Day celebrations in India!

For every child, celebrating India’s Independence Day is an opportunity to learn more about the country, express their creativity, showcase their artistic talents, and engage in meaningful conversations about how we can help build a better future for India—all while having plenty of fun!

Congratulations to our Warriors For Empowerment student, Peta, on earning admission to IIT Gwalior!

This is a truly proud and memorable milestone for all of us. Peta comes from a village where educational opportunities are limited. No student from his village, or the surrounding villages has ever secured admission to such a prestigious institution in India. His achievement is a powerful reminder that talent, determination, and the right support can overcome even the greatest barriers.

At Warriors For Empowerment, we are committed to providing every child with the coaching, mentorship, and encouragement they need to succeed and dare to achieve what once seemed impossible. For the past 9 years, Warriors For Empowerment has provided free education to underprivileged children in India and empowered women in rural villages. Every single year has been magical. A child discovering the joy of learning, a young person building skills for a brighter future, or a woman taking the next step toward greater opportunity. Our dedicated volunteer teams works alongside schools, communities, and partners to create lasting change—bringing quality learning to those who need it most. By partnering with schools and communities, Warriors For Empowerment is creating lasting, large-scale change and expanding access to learning where it is needed most. 📚🎒📝
