🥎 What a day at the 33rd Annual Citywide Mae Louise Mays Charity Softball Tournament! 🥎

Last Saturday, teams from across San Francisco came together for a day of friendly competition, community spirit, and support for local youth. After an exciting tournament, congratulations to 🏆 San Francisco Recreation and Park Department for taking home this year’s championship title! The challenge has officially been set—who’s coming for the trophy next year? 👀

While the games are always exciting, what truly makes this event special are the incredible people who show up to support it. Thank you to our Board Members, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who dedicated their time and energy to making this event a success.

A special shoutout to Donnell from Tri Counties Bank for stopping by and showing his support. We are grateful for Donnell and the entire Tri Counties team for investing in our mission and the youth we serve. 💙

⚾️ The countdown is on!

Join us on Saturday, June 13 for the 33rd Annual Mae Louise Mayes Citywide Softball Tournament—an annual fundraiser benefiting City Youth Now, hosted in partnership with San Francisco Human Services Agency (SF HSA) and San Francisco Recreation & Parks.

This long-standing community tradition brings together supporters from across the city for a day of friendly competition and impact. This year's tournament will feature teams from many City and County of San Francisco departments, along with organizations including the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, Mayor's Office, and more, all stepping onto the field to support San Francisco youth.

We are STILL feeling the energy, love, and impact from last Thursday’s 76th Annual Rise Awards 🎉✨

Because of this incredible community, we welcomed more than 140 attendees, celebrated 10 amazing youth scholarship recipients, and raised nearly $40,000 to continue supporting and uplifting youth across our community. 💙

Every ticket purchased, donation made, raffle entered, conversation shared, and moment celebrated helped remind our youth that they are seen, valued, and supported. The room was filled with resilience, hope, laughter, and powerful stories that we will carry with us for a long time.

To our sponsors, donors, volunteers, board members, partners, and everyone who showed up for our youth: thank you. Your support allows us to continue creating opportunities, removing barriers, and investing in brighter futures for the young people we serve.

This was more than just an event. It was a reminder of what community can do when we come together. 🌟

📢 NEW TEAM MEMBER 📢

We’re excited to introduce our second newest team member, Kassandra (KC)! 🎉
KC has officially stepped into the role of Programs Coordinator and will be a main point of contact for all program-related matters at CYN. We’re so excited to have her supporting and creating impactful opportunities for our youth!

⬇️ Read below to learn more about KC!

KC is a graduate from San Francisco State University. There sparked her interest in community empowerment, mental wellness, and advocacy. KC has enjoyed working with youth by providing training around behavioral health and tools to pursue their education. She is excited to be part of the team! In her free time her hobbies include drawing/painting, crocheting, enjoying nature, and watching movies.
