October 25, 2022 | During Fleet Week, cadets dedicated their time to helping out the SS Jeremiah O’Brien crew by greeting guests, serving food and snacks, as well as making sure everyone was safe. It was wonderful working with the crew and being able to be underway on the SS Jeremiah O’Brien again, along with O’Kane Division and Diablo Squadron.
Big thanks to the ships’ crew as well as the Diablo Squadron and O’Kane division for working together to make this event run smoothly!

October 15, 2022 | Cadets from Arkansas division got the amazing opportunity to go underway with the USS Harpers Ferry, for the parade of ships. We arrived in San Francisco at 0600, went underway at 0700 and returned into SF at 1100 for the parade of ships, then docked at 1330. Cadets toured the ship, ate chow in the mess deck, and got to man the rails while returning into SF. Cadet also got to talk with aircraft pilots, officers, enlisted personnel, ROTC midshipman, and even got interviewed on KCBS.
Big Thank You to ENS Tanoos for guiding us and teaching us about the navy lifestyle all day long!

September 25, 2022 | Second Drill back, Arkansas Division got the opportunity to discover more about the history of San Fransisco as well as the history of ships and vessels. Cadets got to visit and tour Alcatraz, tour sailing ships, talk to members of the Coast Guard and SFPD marine unit, and learn more about the Coast Guard vessel, the USS Tern. Lastly, Cadets were given the opportunities to tour SF Maritime National Park and Hyde Street Pier.

Thanks to the Coast Guard and SFPD for allowing us to meet with them. Another big thank you to Christian Davis for planning and organizing our tour on Alcatraz.

Some photos from our first drill back on 7/28. At this drill we announced promotions, debriefed our summer trainings, practiced seamanship and drilling, and lastly had a SMEAC/PACE presentation and challenge. Cadets also got the opportunity to teach and practice the knowledge they learned over the summer.

Big thank you to ENS William Rold for coming out and teaching/creating a challenge for our cadets about SMEAC and PACE.
