President's New Year Message - As 2023 winds to a close, there are lots of exciting events on the Cytokine Society horizon. First, plans are firming up for the 2024 ICIS meeting in Seoul, Korea, which will be held in partnership with the Korean Association of Immunologists (KAI). We are thrilled to report that one of the Keynote Lecturers will be Dr. Drew Weissman, winner of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine (https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/medicine/2023/weissman/facts). Acceptances are pouring in with over 80% positive response rate so far (click here to view confirmed speakers as of today). This is shaping up to be a fantastic conference, and kudos to Drs. Virtual Meeting Platform registration fees include: Live-streaming of talks, on-demand for a 3-week time period, depending on permission of the speakers which will be noted in the program, there will be no virtual posters or virtual exhibits. Young Investigator to Watch - Ang Cui, PhD, is the 2023 ICIS-Christina Fleischmann Award for Excellence in Cytokine & Interferon Research Award Winner! Dr. Ang Cui is a tenure-track faculty member at Harvard University, where she directs the Systems Immunology laboratory at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School. She has developed massively high-throughput experimental and computational approaches to decipher the complex in vivo immune responses to cytokines. Dr. Cui received her Ph.D. in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology joint program, and conducted systems immunology research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Yale School of Medicine, and the University of Toronto.
