San Francisco Conservation Corps (SFCC) The San Francisco Conservation Corps motivates and connects youth with inspiring work, quality education, and a better future.

SFCC is a non-profit organization celebrating 35 years of service to San Francisco. Corpsmembers are 18-26 year-olds who join our job training and education program and work in teams on landscaping, recycling, playground renovation and community education projects that enhance the environment of San Francisco.

Join us for our upcoming 2023 EcoJobs Summer Program for youth ages 16 to 17 from June 12th to July 21st.
This program allows youth to earn and learn through a 6-week summer program that provides horticultural training. The training includes horticulture, urban farming, landscaping, and habitat restoration. This program is in partnership with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the San Francisco Sheriff's Office.

On Wednesday (2/19/2023), members of our leadership team and corpsmembers attended California Association of Local Conservation Corps in Sacramento. They connect with corpsmembers from different Corps across the state and speak with policy makers and partners. We were able to bring our BottleBank Mobile CRV Recycling Clinic to show legislators and other Conservation Corps the benefits of a more accessible recycling program. Today, Kip Bowmar, the Director of Planning and Evaluation and Madison Johnson, BottleBank crewmember, presented our Pilot Program, BottleBank, at the California Association of Conservation Corps (CALCC) Corpsmember Education Conference. BottleBank is a mobile recycling clinic with just under 20 drop off locations within San Francisco. We partner with the San Francisco Department of the Environment and Our Planet Recycling on this project.

What will you discover at SFCC? Corpsmemembers in our Natural Resources Program go through our Horticulture Training Program, a 100-hour intensive. Within the program, Corpsmembers learn about Horticulture, urban farming, vegetation management, landscaping and habitat restoration at sites around San Francsico including the Presidio Nursery and Tunnel Tops, Golden Gate Park, Fort Mason, Marin Headlands, and Baker Beach. Thank you to our partners Presidio Trust, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, SF Public Utilities Commission, and SF Sheriff's Office for partnering with us to create this program. Apply to be a Corpsmember on our website, linked in our bio!

Don’t know what your next step should be? Join San Francisco Conservation Corps. San Francisco Conservation Corps is Job Training Program for ages 18 to 26. We provide employment opportunities in the Natural Resources and the Recycling Fields. Corpsmembers work up to 30 hours per week, with up to 10 hours of training.
