Join us at the Museum Survival Guide for BIPOC Panel during CAM Conference 2025! ❤️🌿

Panelists from leading Bay Area museums will share their personal journeys, offer valuable advice, and guide participants through an interactive zine-making activity, creating a community-made survival guide for those of us historically and currently marginalized in the museum field.

This space is for Black, Indigenous, People of Color to come together, share experiences, and strengthen our collective power in the museum world.

📣 We are excited to introduce you to our newest board member, Krish Farol-Schenck (They/She)! 📣

Krish is the Content Marketing Specialist at Filoli, a historic House and Garden that she has admired for years since she moved to San Francisco for college. She has her BA in Criminal Justice Studies and has been working in the nonprofit world for almost a decade. Before Filoli, she worked with JusticeCorps in family law centers around the Peninsula. Once she realized that the world of law was not for her, she wanted to find a different way of connecting with communities through acts of service. They have worked as the Development Communications Assistant for 3 years at the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health before pursuing the path to Filoli. She takes her passion for community-building and storytelling and curates Filoli’s social media presence with those themes in mind.

Krish is excited to work and learn from the incredible museum professionals of BAEMP and can’t wait to connect to her soft spot for museums and public institutions!

Krish is a Scorpio, and the majority of her chart is water signs so... be nice 😅

📣 Announcing our newest board member, Reyna Hamilton (She/Her)!

Reyna is an Oakland native, a BIPOC educator, maker, tinkerer, lifelong learner, and passionate STEM communicator. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked with families and learners of all ages throughout the Bay Area. Currently, Reyna serves as Program Director for Public Engagement Programs at UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science, where she and her teams engage children and families both at the science center and in their communities. Previously, Reyna directed middle school afterschool and state-funded child development programs. Her career is driven by a love for youth development, working with diverse communities, educator support, and science learning.

Give a warm welcome to Reyna! ✨
