Service Agencies, and Group Leaders, are encouraged to join us!

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
For new volunteers, we provide training to become a rap, guide, Camp, Cook, or trip host. We are also looking for board members, special event, volunteers, and office admit support.

if you have volunteered for us in the past, then you know that we simply couldn’t run our programs without you! – – Your volunteer effort makes HWWA all that it is for our clients .

Want to become a whitewater raft guide? It's adventure with purpose!

This spring, Healing Waters Wilderness Adventures is offering you the chance to earn your stripes on the South Fork American River — and use those skills to give back in a meaningful way.

Healing Waters is a Sacramento-based nonprofit that has been empowering people affected by HIV/AIDS, substance use disorders, under-resourced youth, and the LGBTQIA+ community through transformative outdoor experiences since 1996. Their raft guide training program is how they make it all happen — and they need passionate, adventurous volunteers like you.

Healing Waters started with a focus on people living with HIV/Aids and addressed the emotional and physical stress of living with a chronic condition.

Your donation will support Healing Waters Wilderness Adventures' efforts to send hundreds of men, women and children on rafting, kayaking, hiking and wilderness adventures. We simply couldn't do it without your support. Thank you!
