For Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re spotlighting Good Food Award winner Exquisito Chocolates 🍫 🍫✨

Meet Carolina Quijano, the “Chocolate Empress” behind Exquisito Chocolates, a Miami-based bean-to-bar chocolate company. Her chocolate story started in Paris in 2011, where one unforgettable bite inspired her to spend the next two years recreating it in her tiny NYC studio apartment while working a demanding Wall Street job.

In 2014, she took the leap, moved to Miami, and turned those chocolate dreams into a reality.

Today, her chocolates are made by hand with ethically sourced cacao beans, honoring the natural flavors of the beans and the farmers who grow them.

We’re accepting submissions across 18 categories for products that pair outstanding flavor and craftsmanship with responsible practices.

Good Food Qualified Specialty Food Association members get one FREE entry. Not GFQ yet? Apply by Oct 15 to get your first entry on us.

It’s officially the first day of fall, so naturally… we’re talking granola 🍂 Because is there anything more fall-coded than a big bowl of crunchy, nutty, cozy granola? We don’t think so.

We caught up with chef and founder Kylie Fields from For Good Granola, a 2026 winning maker, to talk about their buckwheat, flavor-forward granola, the story behind the brand, and what makes their approach to this classic snack so special.
