For 30 years, Sunset Youth Services has served as extended family to over 6,000 young people by helping fill in the gaps in their lives - gaps that are often painfully extensive. We provide Case Management and Campus Mentoring for juvenile offenders, a Youth Center, Artistic Expression Program and UpStar Records, Incentives for Education, Life Skills, food pantry, and family crisis support. Our mo

del of providing one-on-one positive support from caring adults helps youth view themselves as valuable contributors to society and engages them in learning to serve their community rather than exploit it. Many children look to our staff as surrogate parents who help foster resilience and promote self-efficacy while facilitating core educational, social and emotional growth.

Our Story

For over 25 years, Sunset Youth Services has served as extended family to over 6,000 young people and families by helping fill in the gaps in their lives––gaps that are often painfully extensive. We provide supportive case management and Juvenile Justice Services for young people re-entering their communities after incarceration, a youth center, a Digital Arts & Technology program, an on-site charter school to complete high school, job skills and employment through our Workforce Development program, a weekly food pantry, a Healing Arts program to help young people recover from trauma, and family crisis support. Our model promotes healthy relationships with caring adults and helps youth view themselves as valuable contributors to society, empowering them to serve their community rather than exploit it. Many children look to our staff as surrogate parents who help foster resilience and promote self-efficacy while facilitating core educational, social and emotional growth.
