We are at a crucial inflection point where inclusive work environments, inclusive philanthropy policies, and social justice work are no longer nice-to-haves, but must-haves in the world of impact. Join us as we learn how to emerge as inclusive leaders and create the equitable, justice-driven nonprofit and philanthropic worlds we all wish to see.

Join EPIP Bay Area, YNPNsfba, and AAPIP Bay Area for a 90 minute interactive session for nonprofit and philanthropy leaders of all levels to learn more about DEIB and how to take action.

Culture is a key driver of impact in our nonprofit and philanthropy sectors. Each organization’s culture drives the depth of impact we can create together, and building that culture starts with every unique individual in our respective organizations embodying inclusive behaviors.

In honor of Black History Month, we're highlighting Bay Area based, Black-led nonprofits!

Today, we're amplifying the work of Richmond Neighborhood Housing Services (RNHS). RNHS has developed, acquired and/or rehabilitated over 400 single family homes in East Bay (with a specific focus on Richmond, El Cerrito, San Pablo and Pinole) to sell or manage as affordable homes to purchase, or rent for low- income families.

RNHS has also served residents through education programs that include financial literacy programs, home loan programs, foreclosure prevention, and affordable rental counseling. During COVID-19, they pivoted to hosting virtual events such as Home Preservation in the Age of COVID-19 in their Money Matters Series. Check out the recording of the event below, it was an incredibly informative presentation!

If you want to support RNHS so they can continue serving East Bay residents, donate at https://www.richmondnhs.org/get-involved !

Our Story

The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network - San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (YNPNsfba) began the national movement. The humble beginnings of YNPN, which began in 1997 with twelve eager nonprofit professionals in San Francisco looking for professional development and community, has grown into an industry powerhouse with 50,000+ current national members.

As YNPN first began, the Support Center for Nonprofits (now CompassPoint Nonprofit Services in Oakland, CA) and the Haas Jr. Fund provided the first financial grants and the San Francisco Foundation provided the meeting space. Support Center members and their nonprofit peers cast the original vision. YNPN was born out of dreams these founding members had for supporting young people in the nonprofit workforce.

Since 2016, YNPNsfba has officially joined YNPN National as an affiliate chapter in the network of more than 42 chapters, one of which is located in Canada!
