Since the school’s inception in 1962, more than 28,000 students have been placed in jobs. MLVS’s courses are licensed by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, and certified by the Eligible Training Provider’s List (ETPL). MLVS is recognized as an innovator in Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL) and an expert in job skills training. We offer job-specific training pro

grams in medical assisting, medical administrative assisting, medical insurance billing and coding, office technology, and culinary arts, as well as after-school programs for at-risk youth. All classes are taught by certified, experienced instructors. In addition, the school offers basic educational skills in English, mathematics, and computers. MLVS’s bi-lingual, multi-cultural staff provide career guidance, counseling, job placement, and referral services for legal, childcare, health, and housing assistance.

We have come a long way from these days of struggle!! Out of the concrete sweet flowers rise and so it is and always will be that our community rises. COVID-19 has proven this even more as MLVS became the central service for Latinos city wide via Latino Task Force housing the food hub, essential service hub, hubs for kids, and covid testing and vaccines! Community led and supported MLVS stands stronger then ever exemplifying all that is great in community. Siempre unidos! Rosario Anaya presente!
