Why Attend the BioBridge Breakthrough Summit?

The Chinese Bioscience Association (CBA) is a nonprofit professional organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area that connects scientists, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors across the life sciences community. For many years, CBA has been dedicated to building bridges between academia and industry and fostering meaningful connections in cutting-edge research, industry innovation, entrepreneurship, and career development.

The annual BioBridge Breakthrough Summit is one of CBA’s most important events of the year. This year’s conference will bring together distinguished speakers from Stanford, Amgen, Gilead, Merck, Xaira Therapeutics, insitro, 89bio, Aditum Bio, and other leading organizations. Discussions will explore emerging advances in cardiovascular disease, immune regulation, AI, and biopharma innovation.

Attending the CBA Annual Conference is not only an opportunity to learn about the latest industry trends and breakthrough technologies, but also a valuable platform to connect face-to-face with scientists, biotech and pharma executives, entrepreneurs, and investors while expanding your professional network. Whether you are pursuing research, exploring career opportunities, building a startup, or simply looking to better understand the Bay Area life sciences ecosystem, you can find new connections, insights, and inspiration here.

The Summit also offers unique opportunities to get involved beyond attending. Volunteers who fulfill their service commitments can receive complimentary admission and gain opportunities to participate in future CBA events and initiatives. If you’re interested in being a volunteer, please sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gcXhEGr2

For sponsors and industry partners, the Summit provides a valuable platform to showcase their products and services, increase brand visibility, and connect directly with a highly engaged life sciences audience. Please contact [email protected] to discuss sponsorship opportunities.

This afternoon at Stanford, CBA hosted a fireside chat with Dr. Sherry Xuan Xian (鲜翾), Chief AI Officer at TYK Medicines (TongYuanKang).

Sherry's path is an unusual one: a PhD in psychology from the University of Chicago, a neurobiology postdoc at Stanford, and a decade at Cornell — before moving to China to lead data and AI at iCarbonX, then GenSci Pharmaceutical, and now TYK.

A few things that stayed with us:

🔹 Her career journey — from neuroscience to data science to AI drug discovery.

🔹 Her leadership building AI drug discovery at GenSci Pharmaceutical, and now at TYK.

🔹 The AI drug discovery landscape across China's pharma industry.

Thank you to Dr. Xian for such a candid conversation, and to everyone who spent a Saturday afternoon with us.
