IAVA remains firmly opposed to the Take Care of America’s Veterans Act (TCAVA), which could reduce or eliminate disability compensation for many future veterans with tinnitus and sleep apnea, increase costs for certain VA home loan benefits, and set a dangerous precedent by using veterans’ earned benefits to pay for new legislation.

Veterans should never have to lose something they’ve earned so another veteran can receive something they’ve earned.

IAVA continues to advocate on Capitol Hill to protect veterans’ earned benefits and ensure every generation receives the care and support they deserve.

But this fight takes resources — https://donate.iava.org/campaign/824332/donate

Become a monthly supporter today and help IAVA keep fighting for veterans.

Today is 988 Day. A reminder that no one has to face a difficult moment alone.

For veterans, service members, and their families, the weight of service can continue long after the uniform comes off. Sometimes, asking for help can feel like the hardest step, but reaching out is a sign of strength.

If you or someone you know is struggling, the Veterans Crisis Line is available 24/7. You can call 988 and press 1, text 838255, or chat online to connect with caring, confidential support.

You don't have to be at the point of crisis to reach out.

Whether you're navigating stress, isolation, transition, grief, or simply having a difficult day, support is available.

On 988 Day, let's remind our community: Asking for help is an act of courage. And you never have to go through it alone.
