Thank you to everyone who came to my Drag Laureate step-down event yesterday. It was such a joy to welcome , our new Drag Laureate, into the role. And it was so special to enjoy ’ last musical cabaret with so many talented singers. It was a bittersweet night, but full of joy and hope for the future.

Speaking of the future, I want to remind you all that Oasis Arts isn’t going anywhere. While we won’t operate in the same building anymore, I have every intention of continuing to produce and direct shows and events and carry that unique Oasis energy into new places. On this , consider making a donation to Oasis Arts. It supports costs around closing up our shop & settling our debt, as well as contributing to the future of q***r art in San Francisco. A throwback to Saturday Night Oasis Live from earlier this year!

Saturday Night Oasis Live is back Nov 20-29 at Oasis! Brand new cast, brand new sketches, all with a holiday twist. It will be our last multi-night production before the venue closes at the end of the year.

Producing shows like this are fueled by the power of Oasis Arts! Every donation gives artists and creators a platform for their craft. The joy, the camp, the ingenuity that comes from Oasis Arts makes the world a brighter place. And although the venue is closing, Oasis Arts will live on in new spaces! The closing of Oasis SF is a huge loss for our community. It was more than a nightclub—it was a home, a stage, and a sanctuary for q***r brilliance. We’re holding space for the grief and celebrating everything that was created there.

Oasis Arts, the nonprofit is still here—and continuing the work. Q***r joy, performance, and community don’t end with the closing of a building. They move, adapt, and shine on.

We are deeply grateful to present a free (donations to Oasis Arts accepted!) estate planning workshop designed to take the mystery out of planning for you and your loved ones futures.

Patricia DeFonte & DeFonte Law’s tagline is Estate Planning with Heart® and she means it, from the bottom of hers. With a great passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community, she’s the lawyer for us. De Fonte Law PC’s health care directives contain provisions related to respect for gender identification, the importance of working with medical providers who respect and/or are part of the LGBT+ community, and the importance of avoiding a “re-closeting” during a period of infirmity.

Many older individual are estranged from their families, have lost loved ones to illness, and were precluded from having children, which can make selecting a successor and agents difficult. Often, single people do not think estate planning is important or do not feel ready because they are unsure who should receive their assets.
