As you all know, Moving Planet is a global day of action scheduled for September 24th 2011, and it's on track to be one of the most massive mobilizations of people power (and pedal power!) our nation and world has ever seen. There will be events all around the world, but of course the event in the Bay Area has the potential to be HUGE. That's why we're calling on ALL local climate activists, bicyc
le and sustainable transportation enthusiasts, business leaders, decision makers, faith groups, educators, youth and more, to JOIN our STEERING COMMITTEE or simply help us spread the word about Sept. 24th's Bay Area Moving Planet. But whether we're biking across bridges, taking the whole family to walk in a parade, or having a dance party to celebrate a clean climate future, if we're going to get 5-10,000 people to show up to our MEGA-MASSIVE MOVING PLANET MOBILIZATION this Sept. 24th, we're going to need your help! JOIN US on the Bay Area Moving Planet Steering Committee. It is currently comprised of 48 all-star organizers (and counting). The Steering Committee is divided into four small-group Breakout Teams:

Logistics
Outreach / Social Media
We are organizing our Steering Committee into these four Breakout Teams so as to increase our efficiency and creativity. Each of these Breakout Teams represents a significant aspect of planning, so it’s important that we all contribute as much as we are able.
