Rose Braz, our co-founder, chairperson, and beloved activist, died late Tuesday night. Our hearts are broken, but with your help we can rally, like Rose would, for a more sustainable and just world. The Laguna Salada wetlands complex soaked in our recent storms, returning to areas drained and mowed by Sharp Park Golf Course. All the fringing wetland you see here will be filled-in if the Sharp Park Golf Course redevelopment project is approved by the Board of Supervisors. The national election results confounded half the nation and broke more than a few hearts. In the Bay Area we took some solace by presuming our local officials would stand against an anti-environmental federal administration.

But this presumption is being put to the test by San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department: it released and scheduled a holiday vote on a final plan to redevelop Sharp Park Golf Course, a plan so harmful it will undermine San Francisco's Natural Areas Program's entire body of work.
