Rose Braz, our co-founder, chairperson, and beloved activist, died late Tuesday night. Our hearts are broken, but with your help we can rally, like Rose would, for a more sustainable and just world. Use this link to contribute to the Rose Braz Memorial Fund and learn more about the life of the greatest human we ever met.

We have lost the most beloved person we have ever known. But Rose taught us to be better advocates, as well as better people. So as she told us not long ago, Rose Braz is not going away:

Will San Francisco's Board of Supervisor's vote to fund a golf course redevelopment project in our City's last natural areas? We don't think they will, and neither does USF Professor Aaron Frank. Read why now:

The emperor of all geese knows we need to get the golf course out of our natural areas. When will San Francisco's Mayor take heed?

An Emperor Goose, normally found near the Aleutian Islands and points north, has been observed feeding in and around the wetland areas restored by our recent rains. Wild Equity digiscoped a few photos of the rare bird:

The Laguna Salada wetlands complex soaked in our recent storms, returning to areas drained and mowed by Sharp Park Golf Course. All the fringing wetland you see here will be filled-in if the Sharp Park Golf Course redevelopment project is approved by the Board of Supervisors. Join Wild Equity today and make sure Antioch's communities and wildlife are protected from power plant pollution. We can't do it without you!

In February 2017, Wild Equity will appear before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where the health of Antioch’s people and the continued existence of the Bay Area’s most imperiled butterfly will be on the line...

Is it too late for San Francisco's namesake snake? That's up to all of WE! Join Wild Equity before it's too late.

Will San Francisco squander one of the last opportunities to help the endangered San Francisco Garter Snake?

Unless you stand with us now, the City of St. Francis probably will.

The national election results confounded half the nation and broke more than a few hearts. In the Bay Area we took some solace by presuming our local officials would stand against an anti-environmental federal administration.

But this presumption is being put to the test by San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department: it released and scheduled a holiday vote on a final plan to redevelop Sharp Park Golf Course, a plan so harmful it will undermine San Francisco's Natural Areas Program's entire body of work. Help us defeat this plan Dec. 15 at San Francisco City Hall.

San Francisco’s Significant Natural Resource Areas Program was to be one of the great urban conservation programs in America. But in 2016, San Francisco released a Final Environmental Impact Report ("FEIR") for the Significant Natural Resource Area Management Plan ("SNRAMP") that will, if adopted, t...
