USGBC California USGBC California represents all California members in defining susatinable public policy.

California has long demonstrated that the winds of innovation blow west to east. USGBC California members have consistently been the innovators and agitators for bigger, bolder vision for better policies and higher standards on building components and for stronger and more transparent building codes. USGBC California was organized to focus this advocacy energy and bring a forward-thinking business

voice to the policy discussion. We work on California public policy to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

The National League of Cities announces the formation of a network composed of business, policy leaders and city officials to identify the regulatory challenges posed by the disruptive technologies that power the sharing economy.

The Sharing Economy Advisory Network will create and promote model solutions that can be adopted by communities across the nation as they work to resolve these questions. The Network will also look to identify ways that cities can support and encourage the growth of new businesses in this space.

A new Sharing Economy Advisory Network hopes to develop best practices so cities can work develop regulations that allow sharing economy businesses to expand and operate more easily.
