Share Teachers 4 Social Justice has a long tradition of recognizing and celebrating educators who have exemplified the tenets of social justice through their pedagogy and character, and who have done powerful equity-oriented work in their classrooms and/or communities. We define and recognize teachers broadly to include a range of educators, including but not limited to: paraprofessionals, administrators, after-school workers, community-based educators, etc., with 3 or more years of experience in their role turning social justice philosophy into concrete actions. After nominations are reviewed and selected in mid-April, we will bring together a community of like-minded educators invested in a decolonized future for an inspirational event to witness the wide array of selected awardees on May 15, 2026, in San Francisco.

T4SJ is thrilled to announce our upcoming “Ethnic Studies Everywhere” Conference Saturday April 25th in San Francisco from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Ethnic Studies has been attacked and undermined both locally and nationally. At the same time, educators and students continue to use Ethnic Studies concepts, histories, and critical lenses to enrich classrooms across disciplines from math to literature, from arts to science, from early childhood education to university.

“Ethnic Studies Everywhere” workshops will be presented by educators and youth with experience in our diverse classrooms and community spaces. All of us will have the chance to build our skills and celebrate the powerful work being done towards our collective liberation.

For t4sj family who remember our big conferences- this will be our first conference style event since pre-pandemic. If you came to our historic conferences, you’ll remember over a 1000 participants, a hundred tablers and big name keynotes. This conference will be a more intimate community space. While every year, t4sj has continued to offer study groups and smaller events, we had stepped back from larger gatherings. This spring we’re looking for a couple hundred in attendance, as we re-build our organizational muscles. *Registration is limited.
