Via Heart Project is thrilled to announce that Liz Thomas-Grainger has been named our new Chief Operating Officer!

Liz started with Via in 2016 to manage our Global AED Program. Over the last nine years, Liz has continued to manage our Global AED Program, as well as our business and corporate relationships in the US and around the world. Liz's role evolved to also include being our Accounting Manager, being heavily involved in daily program management, and training our staff on key parts of our program.

We are so pleased that Liz is back to Via full time as our COO. Liz's institutional knowledge and understanding of Via's comprehensive AED programs, and her expertise in all aspects of AEDs, training, and internal operations makes her leadership and skill set an incredible asset to our organization and to furthering our mission.

Liz has been a key part of Via Heart Project for almost a decade, and in addition to the many areas of responsibilities that are part of her formal job description, Liz is an amazing human being who exemplifies kindness, intellect, and compassion -- key components of a leader in the nonprofit universe.

🚑❤️ Empowering Young Heroes! ❤️🚑

Via Heart Project is training 7th graders at Parkside Intermediate School in San Bruno to equip them with lifesaving CPR skills! This training is made possible thanks to grant funds from the San Bruno Community Foundation, with the support of the San Bruno Fire Department and Mayor Rico Medina.

Why is CPR training so important for young people? Every second counts in a cardiac emergency, and bystander CPR can double or even triple survival rates. By teaching students these critical skills early, we’re empowering the next generation to step up, take action, and save lives when it matters most.

Thank you to all our partners for making this possible! Together, we’re building a stronger, safer community. 💙

♥️To say we were impressed with the 5th graders at Napa Valley Language Academy today would be an absolute understatement. They were so attentive and their questions were some of the most intuitive of any 5th grade class yet!

♥️It was an absolute pleasure visiting today and we can’t wait to be back next year!
